Remember to feed the birds right through the winter months.
With the threat of more winter weather on the way euvue’s North East Gardener Paul Travis Anderson visited South Pelaw Infants School to tell youngsters the importance of feeding the birds.
Reception class pupils were informed of the various kinds of birds that may visit their school garden and what kind of food they would appreciate. He also helped them fill and hang feeders with peanuts and mixed seed, and placed them in appropriate positions in order that they may watch them from the classroom window.
He also informed them of the euvue winter campaign to ‘Feed the Birds’ and how parents could obtain free bird food by logging onto www.freebirdfeed.com site.
